The Tiara Ball follows our children’s writing workshops and includes music, face painting, author book signings, and more.

THE PRESENTERS

The courses will be taught by Peggy Foster and Patty Kyrlach.

Peggy Foster

Peggy recently presented a fairy tale workshop to The Writing Academy at their annual conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She taught English and Communications at the University of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky University. She is the author of The Art and Soul of Writing Fairy Tales, The Pink Penguin and the Bubble Gum Bandit, Prince Skye and the Curse of the Silver Swan expected to be out this winter. Other titles include The Legend of Lord Lumen, Lord Lumen and the Great Dibora, and a middle grade novel, The Curse of the Pink Swan which are expected to be out next spring.

Patty Kyrlach

Patty, a life-long fan of folk and fairy tales, has a blog devoted to stories of all sorts: Stark Raving Mythopath She is design editor for Cookies & Milk, a children’s page featured in several newspapers in SW Ohio. She was editor and designer of Writer’s Coffee House, an anthology of advice and encouragement for writers, available on Amazon.com. Her current writing project is a collection of folk and fairy tales.

COST and REGISTRATION

Costs for private workshops will be determined based on the needs of the group. Accompanying parents or grandparents are admitted free. Seating is limited and we expect to sell out.
